Wrestling, that sport still widely prevalent in high schools nationwide, and of course made famous by professional wrestlers on television, has actually been around for many, many years. As a matter of fact, wrestling likely got its start in ancient Greece. Wrestling is perhaps one of the oldest sports still in existence, and even still practiced in the very same fashion as it was when it first began.

From then on, the sport practically snowballed into a national sport that saw the rise and stay of professional wrestling in the Japanese culture.
